Emergency Paediatric First Aid (Level 3)

This 1-day course equips learners with essential life-saving skills to respond to emergencies involving babies and children.

Confidence when caring for little ones

This accredited course focuses on emergency situations that might arise when looking after babies or young children, whether at home, in a nursery, or in a school setting.

It’s ideal for early years staff, childminders, or parents and carers who want practical, hands-on training.

Participants leave with the confidence and knowledge to respond to choking, seizures, injuries and CPR situations - all adapted to suit infants and young children.

All attendees receive a Level 3 Award certificate valid for 3 years.

Course Content

• Primary survey and scene assessment

• CPR for babies and children

• Use of an AED (defibrillator)

• Dealing with choking, wounds, burns and seizures

• Managing shock and minor injuries

• Accident reporting and responsibilities of the first aider
