Our most popular training session, this one-day, hands-on course is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to respond in a medical emergency at work.
It’s ideal for small to medium workplaces or any environment where a trained first aider is required. You’ll learn how to respond quickly, safely and effectively to a wide range of injuries and health emergencies.
Training includes practical use of a defibrillator (AED), CPR on adult manikins, and how to adapt your response depending on the situation.
All participants receive a Level 3 Award certificate valid for 3 years.
Course Content
Primary and secondary assessments
CPR and AED (defibrillator) use
Seizures, choking, bleeding and shock
Managing burns, wounds and minor injuries
Communication and incident reporting
Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
Course Details
Duration: 6 hours (can be split across two sessions if required)
Certificate: Level 3 Award – valid for 3 years
Location: Delivered at your site or 11, Westmoreland St, Harrogate
Group size: Up to 12 people
Accreditation: Externally validated
